The Youth PROMISE (Prison Reduction through Opportunities, Mentoring, Intervention, Support and Education) Act addresses the root causes of crime, delinquency, and gang violence.

The bill was developed by a vast coalition of youth advocates, educators, health and mental health practitioners, members of the bar and judiciary, law enforcement leaders and officials, researchers, families and youth.

This bill will face opposition from many industries who capitalize upon the prison industrial system.  It is time for us to take control of our communities and give them the solutions we know they need.
